As announced in the previous newsletter, Fluvial Connect and Destination Fluviale were officially launched on January 5.
Since their launch, the first feedback and incoming contacts have confirmed an essential reality:
👉 the need for structuring, clarity and networking within the river cruise sector is very real.
Stopover sites, river cruise companies, institutional partners, visitor sites and tourism stakeholders have already come forward to better understand the approach, the tools offered and the opportunities opened up by these two complementary projects.
Two projects, one shared vision
Fluvial Connect

Fluvial Connect is an operational platform designed for the entire river cruise ecosystem.
Its aim is to facilitate exchanges, centralise useful information and enhance the quality of reception, both for cruise companies and for crews and passengers.
The platform notably offers:
- improved visibility for stopover sites and their local partners,
- clear, reliable and shared information for cruise companies,
- a promotion and visibility tool for territories and their stakeholders,
- a cross-cutting, field-based approach, closely aligned with local realities.

Destination Fluviale
Destination Fluviale, for its part, is positioned as a qualification and recognition approach.

.
It is aimed at territories that wish to go further in shore-side river cruise reception, structure their strategy, formalise their actions and engage in a process of continuous improvement.
👉 Where Fluvial Connect is a tool, Destination Fluviale is a commitment.
Discovering the projects: open exchange sessions
In response to the many requests received, an appointment calendar is now available online.
It allows anyone to discover the projects, ask questions and exchange on their specific challenges.
These meetings are:
- commitment-free,
- designed as genuine moments of exchange,
- adapted to different types of stakeholders.
👉 The only commitment requested is simple: to attend the selected time slot.
These exchanges represent one hour of work, preparation and availability, as is the case for everyone.

What’s next? A sector in motion
Since the launch, many requests have also concerned hotel barges and recreational boating.
A reflection is currently underway to adapt the platform to these specific uses, with a potential rollout planned for spring and a possible launch in May.
Stakeholders concerned are invited to come forward now in order to contribute to this collective reflection.
