🚱 À bord du territoire

The full programme of exchange sessions – 2026

À bord du territoire is a cycle of three webinars in 2026, designed to take a step back on shore-side river cruising, share field-based insights and open up practical spaces for discussion between stakeholders.

These exchange sessions are intended for:

  • territories and local authorities,
  • stopover sites,
  • visitor and tourist sites,
  • local stakeholders involved in reception and hospitality,
  • river cruise companies.

👉 The objective is not to provide ready-made solutions, but to better understand each stakeholder’s realities, identify areas for improvement and foster a collective reflection rooted in field experience.es de progression et de nourrir une rĂ©flexion collective, ancrĂ©e dans le terrain.

Escaviva, my ideal stopover

Field perspectives on the real role of stopover sites

This first session sets the foundations of the cycle.

It offers a concrete look at what a stopover site is – and is not – today, at the intersection of:

  • the expectations of cruise companies,
  • the needs of crews and passengers,
  • the local constraints faced by territories.

This exchange session will notably address:

  • the real role of a stopover site in the river cruise experience,
  • the operational expectations of cruise companies,
  • the local realities territories have to deal with,
  • possible areas for improvement, within a logic of continuous improvement.

The importance of local river governance

Why, with whom, and for what benefits?

This second session focuses on a structuring yet often complex topic: river governance at the local level.

It aims to lay the foundations for a shared reflection around key questions:

  • Why set up local river governance?
  • Which stakeholders should be involved?
  • How can exchanges be organised without adding unnecessary complexity to existing structures?
  • What concrete benefits can be expected for shore-side river cruise reception and territorial projects?

👉 An exchange session to better understand how local coordination can become a lever rather than a constraint

🌍 Webinar 3 – 5 November 2026

Promoting my visitor site to an international audience

Expectations, constraints and differentiation levers

his final webinar is dedicated to visitor sites that already welcome, or wish to welcome, an international audience, particularly in the context of river cruises.

It will provide essential reminders on:

  • international visitor profiles,
  • their specific expectations,
  • the constraints related to river cruise excursions.

It will also offer avenues for reflection on:

  • differentiating offers,
  • highlighting existing strengths,
  • good communication practices when engaging with cruise companies.

👉 A moment to take a step back from one’s offer, without seeking to transform it, but by learning how to position it more effectively.
