A year ago, when I created AF Fluvial Conseil, one idea kept coming up in discussions with river stops, companies and regions:
the inland navigation sector lacks a shared space — simple, modern and secure —
where all stakeholders can finally come together.
A place where:
- river stops are visible and valued,
- companies can access reliable information,
- regions better understand the challenges of inland navigation,
- partners can collaborate,
- and everyone knows exactly where to go to find the information they need.
A space that simply did not exist.

From this need, Fluvial Connect was born.
➤ A professional platform
➤ A secure interface
➤ An extranet dedicated to fluvial stakeholders
➤ A tool designed by the field, for the field
Not a directory.
Not a showcase website.
Not an institutional tool.
A living, operational platform, built around the needs of the profession.
A secure space reserved for partners
Fluvial Connect is not public.
It is not a tourist information site nor an institutional database.
It is a professional extranet, accessible only to:
- River stops
- Fluvial companies
- Tourist offices / urban communities / local authorities
- Partner shops & services
- Operational structures
- Institutional network partners
Each user has a personal space,
with access levels adapted to their role in the sector.
avec des accès adaptés à son rôle dans le fluvial.
A clear, harmonised and accessible national network
Fluvial Connect centralises and organises:
- French river stops
- their services
- their technical information
- their operational contacts
- partner shops & services
- tourist sites
- service providers
- fluvial companies
- vessels
- network resources
- global mapping (filters, search, visualisation)
It is not just a tool.
It is a vision:
👉 finally giving the inland navigation sector a clear and coherent structure..
Advanced search designed for real professional needs
With its search engine, each member can filter content by:
- municipality
- type of stakeholder
- category
- partner / non-partner
- available services
- river / basin
The goal is simple:
find in 10 seconds what used to take far too long.
Easier communication between professionals
Fluvial Connect includes:
- a dynamic contact form
- links between river stops / shops / services
- direct pathways to local stakeholders
- a structured internal network
Each listing features a dedicated button to send a message directly,
automatically routed to the right person.
No more searching for “who to contact”.
The platform makes the connection.
A national mapping system
The global map, enriched river by river,
will provide a 360° view of the inland navigation network:
- where river stops are located
- how they connect
- what services are available
- which partners are present in each region
A simple, visual tool — essential both for daily operations and long-term strategy.
A collaborative space that will grow with you
Fluvial Connect is not a fixed project.
It is an evolving platform:
- new ergonomics
- new filters
- new services
- new functionalities
- graphic improvements
- partner-specific modules
It will grow with the needs of the field.
With your feedback.
With real-life conditions.
Because it is a tool designed with you and for you.
2026 Objective: official opening of registrations
he extranet will be accessible from 5 January 2026.
Partners will be able to:
- join and officially register on the platform
- access their personal space
- view network information
- update their data
- contribute to future developments
Fluvial Connect marks a new step for the sector:
towards an inland navigation network that is more visible,
more harmonised,
more structured,
better connected.
And this is only the beginning.
