In December 2024, I made a choice that would change my professional life:
the decision to create AF Fluvial Conseil and dedicate myself fully to a sector I had loved for years.
I knew inland navigation had immense potential.
I also knew it needed attentive listening, a strong presence, and suitable tools.
But I had no idea just how rich, intense and deeply human this first year would be.
For twelve months, I have travelled across fluvial France —
its river stops, its teams, its companies, its regions,
its strengths, its challenges, and above all…
its people: passionate, committed, often discreet, always essential.
2025 taught me that inland navigation is not just a tourism sector:
it is a community, a living ecosystem, a network of professions deserving recognition and support.

A year of fieldwork, exchanges and strong insights
Throughout my travels, I met dozens of river stops,
fluvial companies, tourist offices, and institutional partners.
I listened to their needs, their ideas, sometimes their concerns,
and to their strong desire to see inland navigation gain visibility, structure and coherence.
These conversations — genuine, often passionate —
shaped the vision of AF Fluvial Conseil:
- a clearer and more readable inland navigation sector,
- stronger coordination between stakeholders,
- modern, accessible tools,
- and national recognition for river stops.
From these encounters came the Tour de France des Escales.
From these insights came the Fluvial Connect platform.
From this fieldwork came the Destination Fluviale label.ect.
C’est de ce terrain qu’est né le label Destination Fluviale.
A foundational year: laying the groundwork for transformation
2025 was a year of foundations:
- defining a clear vision,
- building a strong human network,
- initiating new tools,
- listening to the field,
- understanding needs,
- mapping realities,
- creating concrete solutions.
It was a mix of analysis, travel, monitoring, building and sometimes even last-minute improvisation.
But always with the same conviction: that inland navigation deserves better,
and that together we can transform the sector.
2026: the year of action and rollout
If 2025 was the year of foundations,
2026 will be the year of scaling up.
On the agenda:
- continuing my Tour de France des Escales,
- opening Fluvial Connect to professionals,
- launching the first steps of the Destination Fluviale label,
- new collaborations,
- reinforced structuring of the network,
- more time on the ground,
- and support ever closer to the sector’s needs.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who crossed my path this year,
who opened their doors,
shared their realities,
and placed their trust in my projects.
Thank you for your words, your encouragement, your smiles,
and also for your high expectations,
which pushed me to go further.
AF Fluvial Conseil celebrates its first anniversary…
and this is only the beginning.
Thank you all for being here,
and for supporting this fluvial adventure.
See you in 2026 —
on the rivers, in the river stops,
and at the heart of a sector in motion.
