A Passion for Rivers, a Strategic Vision

From passion to expertise

The river world has always been part of my life.
This environment – both demanding and inspiring- has taught me the discipline of life on board, the richness of encounters ashore, and the strength that comes from collaboration among all those who make river cruising possible.

For almost 20 years, I’ve worked at the crossroads of operations and strategy: supporting cruise companies, collaborating with local authorities, contributing to development projects, leading networks, and helping professionalize the river tourism sector.

These experiences have given me a 360° understanding of inland waterways – from the bridge of a ship to the meeting rooms of local governments.

A dual culture: ship & territory

My uniqueness lies in this dual perspective.
I understand the operational challenges faced by cruise companies — stopovers, logistics, crew coordination, guest experience —
as well as the expectations of territories — economic benefits, tourism coherence, image, and sustainability.

I know that the success of a stopover depends on the coordination of every link in the chain:
from captains to local elected officials, from guides to service providers, from ports to commercial directors.

My role is to help these worlds speak the same language and move forward together.

A pragmatic, collaborative approach

I’m not a consultant working from afar.
I work on the ground, alongside the people who make the fluvial world run.

Every project is designed to be useful and realistic, rooted in local realities and operational needs.
My mission: help stakeholders understand each other, adjust, and collaborate, with simple, effective, and achievable solutions.

The river of tomorrow

I believe in a modern, coherent, and sustainable river sector
one that values both the long-term vision of territories and the dynamic pace of cruise companies,
and that sees stopovers as essential meeting points between the ship, the city, and the traveler.

Through AF Fluvial Conseil, my goal is to build those bridges –
to connect initiatives, streamline communication, and give river cruising its rightful place in the sustainable development of destinations.

A vision in motion

Each project is an opportunity to build connections and move forward collectively.
I’m convinced that lasting progress comes from co-construction and coordination.

River cruising is, above all, a human journey –
a story of cooperation, patience, and shared movement.
